1. Norco (1-0) — The Cougars have moxie. Coach Todd Gerhart’s crew, in front of a regional TV audience, nipped Los Angeles Section power Crenshaw for a second consecutive year.

2. Vista Murrieta (1-0) — The Broncos needed a last-second field goal to win a game they led by 21 points.

WEEK TWO: vs. No. 10 Corona Santiago on FRIDAY
3. Corona Centennial (0-1) — The Huskies offense sputters to start and the defense suffers as a result.
LAST RANKED: No. 1. LAST WEEK: lost to Ventura St. Bonaventure 29-27 on Sept. 9.
WEEK TWO: vs. Santa Ana Mater Dei at Santa Ana Stadium on FRIDAY.
4. Moreno Valley Rancho Verde (2-0) – The Mustangs ran all over another non-league opponent, this one they know better than most, having now beat the Spartans for the third time in two seasons.
LAST RANKED: No. 4. WEEK ONE: d. San Bernardino San Gorgonio 37-10 on Sept. 9.
WEEK TWO: No Game.
5. Elsinore (2-0) — The Tigers trounced a tomato can in Week One. It isn’t much but it’s enough.

WEEK TWO: vs. Pomona Diamond Ranch on FRIDAY.
6. Redlands East Valley (1-0) – The Wildcats used an ailing running back and still shutout Compton Dominguez in Week One? Either Dominguez’s defense is atrocious, or REV is really good.
LAST RANKED: No. 6. WEEK ONE: d. Compton Dominguez 30-0 on Sept. 9.
WEEK TWO: at San Bernardino San Gorgonio on FRIDAY.
7. Rancho Cucamonga (2-0) — The Cougars took the wood to one of the Southwestern League’s middling teams, and have yet to allow a single point this season, outscoring opponents 87-0 in two weeks.
LAST RANKED: No. 8. WEEK ZERO: d. Temecula Great Oak 35-0 on Sept. 9.
WEEK TWO: vs. Temecula Great Oak at Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos HS on FRIDAY.
8. Eastvale Roosevelt (1-0) — The Mustangs played without senior QB Aaron Crone (leg) and still managed to go on the road and win a shootout against a very good program.

9. San Bernardino Cajon (2-0) — The Cowboys won big to back up their huge season-opening victory. Another sizeable test awaits.

10. Corona Santiago (1-1) – Fumbles, and an inability to make stops, doomed the Sharks on the road. Don’t think it gets any easier this week.
