CLAYTON LEACH-MEAD

… is Player Of The Week after his performance in a 42-31 victory over San Bernardino San Gorgonio on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011. Currently uncommitted, Leach-Mead ran for 286 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries as the Thunderbirds defeated one of their regional rivals to stay unbeaten.

Perhaps most striking is that the 5-foot-11, 175-pound junior also threw a 35-yard touchdown pass but was just 1 for 3 passing. His efficiency on the ground (16.8 yards per rush) suggests that he’s willing to take what the defense gives him which, through four victories, has been 1,069 total yards and 12 total TDs.
