… is Player Of The Week after his performance in a 38-20 non-league victory over Encino Crespi, one of Southern California’s top teams, on Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. Only a junior, Stevens ran for 178 yards and a touchdown, and completed 4 of 7 pass attempts for 45 yards and another touchdown to help the Broncos stay unbeaten.

Vista Murrieta, a reigning two-time Southwestern League champion and back-to-back CIF-Southern Section Inland Division finalist, remains to No. 1 team in this week’s FOMB Inland Area Prep Football Top 10, and Stevens (6-foot-4, 180 pounds) is clearly a big part of coach Coley Candaele’s offense after consecutive 100-yard rushing performances.
