… is Player Of The Week following his clutch performance in Aquinas’ 19-9 victory over Redlands Citrus Valley in a CIF-Southern Section East Valley Division first round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 18, 2011.
Amid the chaos at the scene, Handy was composed enough to take the reigns, scoring on a 16-yard touchdown run with 32 seconds remaining to give the Falcons the lead, and then intercepting a pass and returning it 35 yards for a touchdown to seal a huge victory in very hostile conditions.
Handy, to his absolute credit, is one of the Inland Area’s best stories. He’s now had back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons, and he’s doing it with grace, humility, style and integrity, for the Falcons (10-1 overall), who advance to play Paraclete in the quarterfinals on Friday.
