…is the Inland Area’s Player of the Week after his big-time performance in leading Riverside Arlington to its first victory of 2013 — a 43-0 rout of Moreno Valley Vista del Lago on Friday, Sept. 27, 2013 — and in doing so helping the Lions turn around their season.

Kelly, Arlington’s 5-foot-10, 185 pound senior running back, ran for 205 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries as the Lions (1-3 overall, 1-0 Inland Valley) won their league opener in dominating fashion.

Arlington, stunned by the preseason death of junior linebacker Tyler Lewellen, had lost all three of its non-league games and had scored just 38 points during that span.
