MURRIETA VALLEY (2-1 overall, 0-0 Big West-Upper League) used its bye week to good effect and bounced back from a 37-17 loss to Servite in Week 1 with a 42-0 rout of Murrieta Mesa in Week 3. Seven different running backs combined on 20 carries for 168 yards (8.4 avg.), led by senior RB Dorian Hoze, who had 80 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Freshman QB Ty Isaia continues to work his way into the offense.

M.L. KING (4-0 overall, 0-0 Big West-Lower League) has jumped out to its first 4-and-0 start since 2013 and is riding its first four-game winning streak in 12 years after a 21-18 win over Riverside Poly in Week 3. Senior RB Brian Robinson is back to full fitness and had 24 carries for 108 yards and a touchdown in the win, but it was the Noah Cuenca-to-Derek Conn connection that made the difference with two touchdowns.
