1. Corona Centennial (4-1) — I’d still take this coaching staff, its experience and the current talent to win against any other Inland Area team. That’s why they’re my No. 1 overall. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday vs. Riverside Poly at Riverside King.

2. Redlands East Valley (5-0) — Senior QB Tyler Shreve commands a potent offense that will, in all eventuality, go unbeaten. Until they’re defeated they will remain my No. 1 squad from San Bernardino County. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday vs. Fontana at Univ. of Redlands.

3. Rancho Cucamonga (5-0) — Senior QB Greg Watson led the Cougars past a physical Temecula Valley team last week to stay unbeaten. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday vs. Claremont at Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos.

4. Moreno Valley Rancho Verde (5-0) — The Mustangs have scored at least 40 points in four of their five game this season. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday at Moreno Valley Valley View.

5. Temecula Chaparral (3-2) — The team’s offense went nuts in a 70-0 victory over Cathedral City. A beatdown like that deserves Top-5 considertion. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday at Murrieta Valley.

6. Norco (4-1) — QB Deantre Lewis had the game of his career as the Cougars opened Big VIII League play with a victory over Riverside North. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday at Eastvale Roosevelt.

7. Vista Murrieta (5-0) — The Broncos closed out a tough non-league schedule with a win over Downey Warren. Will they dominate the Southwestern League again? Next Game: 7 p.m. at Elsinore Temescal Canyon.

8. Perris Citrus Hill (5-0) — Keeping the Hawks offense off of the field is the only chance an opposing team has because the Cooper Bros. are deadly with the ball in their hands. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday at Rubidoux

9. Eastvale Roosevelt (4-1) — The offense sputtered but a strong defense was there to pick up the slack in a 21-0 victory over Corona Santiago last week. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday vs. Norco.

10. Upland (5-0) — The team used an open date in Week 5 tp prepare for play in the always-tough Baseline League. Their first league test may be their toughest. Next Game: 7 p.m. Friday vs. Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos.
