Inland Area Prep Football Top 10

1. Norco (11-1) — The Cougars are the best team — until further notice. Coach Todd Gerhart has his eyes on another CIF title. Next Game: Friday at Vista Murrieta.
2. Corona Centennial (10-2) — The Huskies are clicking on offense and defense, having scored 105 points in two playoff wins over Fontana Miller then Moreno Valley Rancho Verde. Next Game: Saturday vs. Temecula Chaparral.
3. Vista Murrieta (12-0) — The Broncos have a chance to secure their spot at the big boy table. They’ll do it with a home crowd cheering them on. Next Game: Friday vs. Norco.
4. Temecula Chaparral (9-3) — The Pumas had the biggest quarterfinal upset with their 14-7 victory over Redlands East Valley. Are they legitimate? We’ll soon find out. Next Game: Saturday at Corona Centennial.
5. Rancho Cucamonga (10-2) — We knew senior QB Greg Watson (6-2, 185) was crafty but can he really carve his name into the CIF Central Division history books with back-to-back titles? He’ll have to be better than his inter-city rival to get there. Next Game: Saturday at Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos.
6. Fontana Kaiser (9-3) — The Cats’ defense continues to be sharp with DE Josh Shirley (6-4, 215) leading the way. Next Game: Saturday vs. Palm Springs.
7. Upland (10-2) — The Highlanders are undefeated (4-0) on the road this year. That’ll be important. Next Game: Friday at Chino Hills.
8. Chino Hills (10-2) — The Huskies will have to lean on senior RB/WR/DB/KR Ifo Expre-olomu (6-3, 189) more than they have already. Next Game: Friday vs. Upland.
9. Phelan Serrano (10-2) — The Diamondbacks, under coach Ray Maholchic, haven’t allowed a point through two games this postseason. That’s right: zero points. Next Game: Friday at Riverside Notre Vista.
10. Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos (8-4) — The Grizzlies say they that if they did it once, they can do it again. Next Game: Saturday vs. Rancho Cucamonga.
