FOUR & MORE: Worst Preseason Predictions

1. Temecula Chaparral was a No. 3 team. Way to lay an egg at home, Pumas. Could I have been more wrong about this team? Could this year possibly be worse than 2010?

2. Rick Bray was an elite coach. Heck, he’s not even a coach anymore following his tendered resignation. Weird stuff going on over there in Colton. Weird, weird stuff.

3. Riverside Ramona senior T.J. Miller (6-foot-2, 185 pounds) was not among my list of elite quarterbacks. He may just turn out to be everyone’s hometown favorite.

4. Fontana Summit is a No. 6 team. The SkyHawks couldn’t possibly be better than they were with the program’s all-time best player, Devon Blackmon. To think that would just be silly.

AND MORE: Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon senior Michael Shepherd (5-foot-9, 215 pounds) was not among my elite running backs. He’s resilient enough to bounce off would-be tackles and quick enough the accelerate through every hole.
