FOUR & MORE: Best Inland Area BKB’ers

FORWARDS/CENTERS 2011-’12

1. Grant Jerrett, La Verne Lutheran — A four-star Univ. of Arizona recruit, the 6-foot-10, 230-pound power forward doesn’t have a ceiling at this point. And even though he took some lumps at the Torrey Pines Holiday Classic last week, he’ll certainly emerge better for the experience. HUGE GAMES: Feb. 2 at Santa Ana Mater Dei; Feb. 10 at Los Angeles Price.

2. Darius Butler, Murrieta Valley — Finally emerging as a real force in his third varsity season, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound senior is averaging 21 points, six rebounds and two assists a game for the Nighthawks, one of the best teams in the Inland Area. HUGE GAME: Jan. 6 at San Diego.

3. Anthony Rounds, Perris Citrus Hill — Still immensely raw, it’s hard to discount the talent when looking at this 6-foot-7, 210-pound center/forward. If/when he corrects some footwork and possession issues, there’s no reason he won’t see time at the D-1 level. HUGE GAMES: Jan. 6 at Lake Elsinore Lakeside; Jan. 7 at Perris.

4. Dorian Butler, Riverside North — One of the most sought-after juniors in Southern California, this 6-foot-5, 225-pound forward is making his presence known, averaging 14 and 9 for the Huskies. HUGE GAMES: Jan. 30 at Riverside Poly; Feb. 6 at Riverside King.

AND MORE: Aaron Peck, Riverside North — A two-sport star, Peck was also an All-Inland Area selection at receiver for the Huskies. And at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, he’s part of the best front court in the Inland Area. HUGE GAMES: Jan. 30 at Riverside Poly; Feb. 6 at Riverside King.
