1. Rancho Cucamonga Etiwanda (26-1) — It’s a well-regarded fact that Coach Dave Kleckner will not play zone defense. The man flat out refuses, and no one can argue with his current 23-game winning streak.

2. Murrieta Valley (23-2) — The Nighthawks’ motion offense is predicated on the probing dribbles of their guard, especially senior G Reid Shackelford (6-foot, 160 pounds) who is averaging 16.9 points per game for the Southwestern League champions.

4. Rialto Eisenhower (18-7) — The Eagles swept through the Citrus Belt League for a third consecutive season, stretching their league winning streak to 32 games. Coach Steve Johnson’s murderous non-league schedule was enough to impress CIF-Southern Section playoff organizers enough to award the Eagles a No. 7 seed in a very winnable quadrant of the Divsion 1AA bracket.

5. La Verne Damien (25-2) — The Spartans received the No. 1 seed in the CIF-Southern Section Division 3AAA playoffs and performed accordingly, scoring a 22-point win in their postseason opener.
LAST RANKED: No. 5.
LAST GAME: def. Placentia El Dorado 59-37 in a CIF-SS Division 3AAA 1st Round game on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
NEXT TIPOFF: in a a CIF-SS Division 3AAA 1st Round playoff game on Friday, Feb. 17.

6. Fontana Summit (21-6) — The SkyHawks aced their way through the Sunkist League, winning every game by no fewer than 15 points. Now the question is, how much will Steve Hickey absence from behind the bench hurt this team in crunch time?

7. Victorville Silverado (21-2) — The Hawks have won 16 consecutive but it could be a relatively quick exit from the CIF-Southern Section Division 1AA playoffs for Coach Dave Brannon; some of the state’s best teams are lurking.

NEXT TIPOFF: vs. Palmdale Highland in a CIF-SS Division 1AA 1st Round playoff game TONIGHT.

8. Elsinore (24-3) — The Tigers have won 22 of their last 23 games behind the stellar guard play senior PG E.J. Twyman (6-foot-1, 175) and senior SG Lawrence Chamberlain (6-3, 170), the top backcourt duo in the Inland Area.
LAST RANKED: No. 8.
LAST GAME: def. Menifee Paloma Valley 72-42 in a Sunbelt League game on Friday, Feb. 10.
NEXT TIPOFF: vs. Riverside Patriot in a CIF-SS Division 2A 1st Round playoff game TONIGHT.

9. Riverside North (21-5) — The Huskies finished the regular season with four consecutive victories, and Coach Mike Bartee should see that streak extend at least another week or so.

10. Riverside Poly (18-8) — The Bears stick around for another week after a late-season performance in which they won their last six games, including wins over four playoff teams.
