2. High Desert (5-1) — Mavericks got out to 5-0 start behind SS Brad Miller’s blistering start (.416 BA, nine XBHs)
3. Inland Empire (4-2) — Sixers have yet to play at home, and yet have outscored opponents 32-23 thus far
4. Stockton (3-2) — Ports have above water after RHP T.J. Walz’s seven-stikeout performance vs. LE on 4/7
5. Bakersfield (3-2) — Blaze are solid at top of rotation, sort of suspect everywhere else
6. Visalia (3-2) — Rawhide will go as far as LHP David Holmberg (1-1, 14 Ks in two starts)
7. Rancho Cucamonga (2-4) — Quakes need to start getting guys on base for LF Nick Akins (2 HRs & just 2 RBI)
8. Lake Elsinore (2-4) — Storm starting pitching allowing a lot of hits, luckily not too many walks
9. Lancaster (1-5) — JetHawks getting power from 1B Telvin Nash (5 HRs, 10 RBI, 10 hits), not much else
10. Modesto (1-4) — Nuts getting very little wood on the ball, have scored just 14 totals runs
