Rancho Verde coach Pete Duffy told The Press-Enterprise “No. 5 was the difference-maker. He’s just an exceptional back. There were times I thought we had him and he would still get out of there.”

Morrow is the centerpiece of a team the is better than the one that was a CIF-SS Eastern Division finalist last season, losing to Fontana Summit in the title game. His 416 rushing yards this season are 6th most in the Inland Area for the Patriots (2-0), who now have a non-league victory worth remembering.

Morrow is the first to be a two-time POTW winner, having previously received the award after running for 276 yards and two TDs in Week 7 last season.
