FOLLOWING WEEK ONE

1. Vista Murrieta (1-0) — Broncos showed their usual resolve in putting down ThunderRidge HS (Colo.) in the first of two non-league games vs. out-of-state opponents.
THIS SEASON: 1-0 overall, 0-0 Southwestern League. LAST SEASON 9-5 overall, 5-0 Southwestern League.
LAST RANKED: No. 1.
LAST GAME: d. Highlands Ranch (Colo.) ThunderRidge 37-26 in a non-league game on Friday, Aug. 31.
WEEK TWO: vs. South Anchorage (Alaska) on FRIDAY.

2. Upland (2-0) — “The ‘U'” has racked up 82 points in two games, and senior RB Adonis Harrison (5-foot-7, 160 pounds) was huge in the opener, rushing for 124 yards and two TDs back on Aug. 24.
THIS SEASON: 2-0 overall, 0-0 Baseline League. LAST SEASON: 12-1 overall, 5-0 Baseline League.
LAST RANKED: No. 3.
LAST GAME: def. Windsor 48-21 in a non-league game on Saturday, Sept. 1.

3. Corona Centennial (0-1) — Played a nail-biter with St. Bonaventure last week, and senior QB Robert Webber (6-foot, 175 pounds) played well, but the Huskies lost another season opener.
THIS SEASON: 0-0 overall, 0-0 Big VIII League. LAST SEASON: 12-2 overall, 7-0 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 2.
LAST GAME: lost 40-35 to Ventura St. Bonaventure in a non-league game on Friday, Aug. 31.
WEEK TWO: vs. Long Beach Cabrillo on FRIDAY.

4. Menifee Heritage (2-0) — Senior RB Jamal Morrow (5-foot-10, 180 pounds) continues to mull his college options as the Patriots rack up wins. Morrow ran for 266 yards and four TDs to beat previously ranked MoVal Rancho Verde.
THIS SEASON: 2-0 overall, 0-0 Sunbelt League. LAST SEASON: 12-2 overall, 5-0 Sunbelt League.

5. Redlands East Valley (1-0) — Went into L.A. County and put the wood to Dominguez, not exactly a tomato can but not far off. That’ll change this week as St. Bonaventure visits the Wildcats.
THIS SEASON: 1-0 overall, 0-0 Citrus Belt League. LAST SEASON: 11-1 overall, 5-0 Citrus Belt League.

LAST GAME: def. Compton Dominguez 36-0 in a non-league game on Friday, Aug. 31.
WEEK TWO: vs. Ventura St. Bonaventure at Redlands HS on FRIDAY.

6. Rancho Cucamonga (1-1) — Allowed 14 fourth-quarter points in losing by one to Servite last week. Even more fatally, the Cougars didn’t score in the second half.
THIS SEASON 1-1 overall, 0-0 Baseline League. LAST SEASON: 11-2 overall, 4-1 Baseline League.
LAST RANKED: No. 5.
LAST GAME: lost 24-23 to Anaheim Servite in a non-league game on Friday, Aug. 31.

7. Riverside North (1-0) — Destroyed all Yellowjackets in Colton in Week 1, with senior RB Denzel Foster () rushing for 186 yards and four TDs. Huskies face stiffer road test this week.
THIS SEASON: 1-0 overall, 0-0 Inland Valley League. LAST SEASON: 10-2 overall, 6-1 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 8.

WEEK TWO: at Mission Hills Alemany on FRIDAY.

8. Fontana Summit (1-1) — The winning streak was snapped, but the ‘Hawks learned some valuable lessons in Week 1. Lesson No. 1: Don’t get cocky.
THIS SEASON: 1-1 overall, 0-0 Sunkist League. LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Sunkist League.
LAST RANKED: No. 6.
LAST GAME: lost 21-12 to Redlands in a non-league game on Friday, Aug. 31.

9. Murrieta Mesa (2-0) — Senior QB Chase Chambers (6-foot-2, 198 pounds) is on a march toward Inland Area history, and his stats in 2012 (57 for 74, 741 yards, nine TDs in just TWO games) are ridiculous.
THIS SEASON: 2-0 overall, 0-0 Southwestern League. LAST SEASON: 4-6 overall, 0-5 Southwestern League.
LAST RANKED: Not Ranked.

10. Palm Springs (2-0) — Off to scalping start, the Indians have outscored their first two opponents 62-6 followng a blowout of Pacific in Week 1. Tough games lay ahead.
