Brett Hollingsworth, Perris Citrus Hill…

…is the Inland Area Player of the Week after his explosive performance on Friday, Aug. 30, 2013, as Citrus Hill went on to defeat Riverside Poly, 46-36, in a Week 0 non-league game.

Hollingsworth, who transferred from nearby Riverside King before the season, passed for 288 yards, rushed for 124 yards and totaled five touchdowns in his debut with the Hawks.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound senior passed for just three touchdowns in six games last season at King, but is now the man at Citrus Hill, the defending CIF-Southern Section Eastern Division champion.

Can he replace Trevor Hodge, FOMB’s 2012 Inland Area Player Of The Year? His numbers were a little Hodge-esque.
