Valdez passed for 451 yards and four touchdowns as Tahquitz (9-2), which finished second in the Mt. Pass League, opened its postseason with a resounding win.

The 5-foot-11 senior, who threw for 371 yards and four TDs in Tahquitz’ heartbreaking 31-28 loss to Perris Citrus Hill in Week 9, completed 19 of 33 attempts vs. Burroughs and now has nearly 2,000 yards this season.
