BEST INLAND AREA INTRA-LEAGUE RIVALRIES
SPRING 2015

1. Lake Elsinore Lakeside vs. Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon, Sunbelt League — The Lancers may have a CIF-Southern Section title but the Titans have the last two league titles. “After the last two years don’t even consider Lakeside,” Temescal Canyon coach Mason Dool said at last month’s San G. Shootout.

2. Ontario Chaffey vs. Ontario, Mt. Baldy League — The quality of soccer in the Inland hub is about to ebb with some of the most exciting games likely to be found between these two teams. The Tigers won the Glendora Tournament while Ontario took 3rd at the inaugural Champions Cup.

3. Riverside La Sierra vs. Riverside Norte Vista, River Valley League — A rivalry in some many other endeavors between these two Alvord USD stalwarts is transferred onto the shoddy pitches on the unusable acreage of these campuses. It’s a pity because quality resides on both sides.

4. Perris Citrus Hill vs. San Jacinto, Mt. Pass League — Neither has been the same since winning their respective CIF-SS titles but this matchup has set up the league table since its current incarnation. This year’s games set up as the most even in years.

AND MORE: Corona vs. Corona Centennial, Big VIII League — These two shared the league title last year, and the plot only thicken with the transfer of Bryan Corona (uncanny) from the Huskies to the Panthers.
