PREP FOOTBALL 2015
BEST INLAND AREA COACHES
1. Matt Logan, Corona Centennial — Sort of a given at this point. His hands are covered in CIF-Southern Section Inland Division championship rings so he went out and added some PAC-5 bling in 2014.
2. Kurt Bruich, Redlands East Valley — The coach with the championship pedigree finally won his first CIF title last season after a decade-plus of building REV into a perennial playoff team.
3. Coley Candaele, Vista Murrieta — He would’ve run away with Inland Division title so many times if it weren’t for those pesky kids, err Huskies.
4. Ray Maholchic, Phelan Serrano — Has any one built a better defense, year-in and year-out than this man? He’s not getting many transfers, either.
AND MORE: Tony Barile, Eastvale Roosevelt — Has moved around and won everywhere he’s been, San G., La Sierra(!), Fontana Summit and now…
Phil Zelaya, Fontana Kaiser — No frills Phil may be season or two removed from his first CIF title, but it likely won’t be his last.
Eric Zomalt, Perris Citrus Hill — One of the best young coaches around has continued Hawks’ winning tradition but is he long for that job?
