BEST INLAND AREA MINOR LEAGUERS 2016

1. Matt Davidson, Yucaipa — 6-foot-3 third baseman has hit 20-or-more homers four times in the minors, starts second consecutive season at the Chicago White Sox Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte, N.C.

2. Jacob Nottingham, Redlands — A Midwest League All-Star last season, the 6-foot-2 catcher was traded to the Oakland Athletics and starts the season at the A’s Double-A affiliate in Biloxi, Miss.

3. Caleb Dirks, Woodcrest Christian — Selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of California Baptist University in 2014, has 1.34 ERA and 11 saves in minors and starts the year at Double-A Tulsa, Okla.

4. Kyle Garlick, Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos — Drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Cal Poly Pomona last season, the 6-foot-1 slugging outfielder starts the season at Single-A Rancho Cucamonga.

Chance Sisco, Corona Santiago — Drafted in ’13 and named the Baltimore Orioles’ top prospect this season by ESPN, the 6-foot-2 catcher is hitting .324 in 900 minor league at-bats and starts at Double-A Bowie, Md.
