BEST INLAND AREA PITCHERS
1. Zack Noll, Temecula Great Oak — Imposing 6-foot-5 senior left-hander doing his best to carry Wolfpack this season. Has 69 strikeouts in nine starts in 2016, giving him 160 in two-plus varsity seasons while staying on pace to win at least 20 career games.
2. Cole Cardey, Riverside Arlington — 6-foot-3 senior right-hander is committed to Univ. of San Diego, and has just 2-3 prep starts left, but he and the Lions have been unable to live up to the hype created by last season’s amazing playoff run.
3. Matt Vigil, Fontana Jurupa Hills — Big-time left-hander’s 73:13 strikeout-to-walk ratio cuts a stark figure. Currently 6-2 with a 0.82 ERA and two saves while allowing 20 hits, just five going for extra-base hits (all doubles).
4. David Magallanez, Riverside North — Huskies go-to hurler this season, the 5-foot-10, 160-pound senior is 6-0 in as many starts with a 0.68 ERA and one save. Has notched seven strikeouts in two of his last three starts.
