… is InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after his bone-crunching performance in the Wildcats’ 51-7 victory over Redlands Citrus Valley in a Week 10 Citrus Belt League game.

Phillips recorded a school record seven sacks, caused a fumble and blocked a field goal as Redlands East Valley (8-2 overall, 7-0 Citrus Belt) wrapped up its second unbeaten league season in three years.

The 6-foot-5, 245-pound senior outside linebacker/defensive end dominated the line of scrimmage in the victory, the Wildcats’ seventh straight heading into the CIF-Southern Section Division 2 playoffs.

With his most recent performance, Phillips, a UCLA commit, has a CBL-leading 18 sacks and 33 QB hurries. He’s collected 69 solo tackles (120 total) and has 10 tackles for losses.
