Melesio ran for an Inland Area-record 563 yards and eight touchdowns on 43 carries as the Braves (10-2 overall) edged St. Margaret’s to advance to the semifinals.

The 5-foot-9, 165-pound senior had a 74-yard scoring run among his bevy as Notre Vista totaled 636 yards on offense. He an Corona Centennial’s Tanner McKee are the only two-time Players of the Week this season.

With his most recent performance, Melesio has gained 3,945 rushing yards and scored 50(!) rushing touchdowns this season. With just 55 yards vs. Santa Fe Springs St. Paul, Melesio would become just the second Inland Area back to surpass 4,000 yards.
