Temecula Chaparral junior Hunter Roddy has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after a beefy Week 5-A performance in a 52-41 victory over Murrieta Valley in a Southwestern League game on Friday, April 16, 2021.
Roddy set a career-high for rushing yards and scored four touchdowns as the Pumas (4-1 overall, 4-1 Southwestern) won a shootout for second place in league.
The 6-foot, 217-pound bruiser ran for 405 yards and added five two-point conversions in the win, the fourth consecutive for the Pumas this season.
Roddy totaled 710 rushing yards over the last three weeks for Chaparral, and will be a key piece when the team challenges for the SWL title this Fall.
