ROOSEVELT (6-2 overall, 3-0 Big VIII League) have a big opportunity to catch the dragon sleeping after a big meal, but the Mustangs have been here before and the results have always been grim. Junior QB Julian Viramontes has found a new favorite target this season in sophomore Nathan Enriquez, with the pair connecting 41 times for more than 500 yards so far to help balance the explosiveness of senior RB Jaquez Neal (97.5 rushing yards per game).

CENTENNIAL (8-0 overall, 3-0 Big VIII League) beat Norco in Week 8 so everything is downhill until the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Underrated but always on the scoresheet, senior RB Jayson Cortes has been the steady hand on offense all season, and strong performances in the final two games of the regular season could see him surpass 1,000 rushing yards. He currently is averaging 7.9 yards per carry and has 731 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns to lead the team.
