Norte Vista senior Taejon Henderson has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after proving unstoppable in Week 1 as the Braves pummeled Shadow Hills, 49-6, in a nonleague game on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023.

Henderson rushed for 207 yards – including an 80-yard touchdown run – and finished with three scores as the Braves (1-1 overall) totaled nearly 500 yards on the ground in typical fashion.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound running back also had a 50-yard touchdown reception and finished with four catches for 76 yards for Norte Vista, which has qualified for the CIF-Southern Section playoffs every year since 2009.
