Centennial senior Cornell Hatcher has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week breaking the will of the defense as the Huskies came back to beat Peoria (AZ) Liberty, 42-35, in a nonleague game on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023.

Hatcher had 30 carries for 289 yards and hard touchdowns of 68, 17, 1 and 13 yards, respective – including the game-winning touchdown with 31.5 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter – as the Huskies (3-2 overall) finished their nonleague schedule above .500.

The 6-foot, 205-pound running back currently ranks first in CIF-Southern Section in carries (149), rushing yards (1,066) and yards per game (213.2).
