Game of the Week: Tahquitz vs. Moreno Valley

THE DETAILS:
Tahquitz vs. Moreno Valley
CIF-Southern Section – Week 2
At Moreno Valley (Calif.) High School
Kickoff: 7:00 p.m. PT on Friday, Sept. 4
TAHQUITZ (1-1 overall, 0-0 Mountain Pass League) took a minute to get itself together but put down a fourth quarter to remember with 14 points in a come-from-behind win over cross-town rival Hemet last week. Junior RB Khison Isom is showing a more consistent approach after shining in brief moments during the 2025 postseason and now is averaging nearly 130 rushing yards per game. The outlook is that this still-young offense – led by QB Josiah Razeeq – continues to develop and there are enough weapons around him and Isom.
HEAD COACH: Stephon Pace
ROSTER – QB: #1-Josiah Razeeq, Jr. (6-foot-1, 170 pounds); RB/DB: #4-Khison Isom, Jr. (5-10, 170); WR/DB: #10-Andre Beddingfield, Sr. (6-3, 205); WR/DB: #8-Elijah Braddock, Sr. (6-1, 170); OL: #75-Johnny Polous, Sr. (6-4, 300); OL/DL: #70-Connor Saenz, Sr. (6-3, 300); DE/LB: #5-Kyrin Mims, Sr. (6-1, 200); K: #85-Brady Hollyoak, So., (6-foot, 170)
MORENO VALLEY (2-0 overall, 0-0 Sunbelt League) is off to a strong start with a pair of runaway wins in Weeks 0 and 1. Senior RB Jahsiah Sio has been a lightning bolt and ranks among CIF-Southern Section leaders averaging 190 rushing yards per game entering Week 2. With the QB question seemingly settled – William Davis is the man – receivers Ricky Jaramillo and Daniel Jackson should get more looks in the offense. The Vikings defense? Lights out so far. Only seven points allowed across 96 minutes off football to start the season.
HEAD COACH: Ben Benitez
