Hillcrest senior Reyez Ortiz has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after delivering a pounding as the Trojans defeated Ramona 35-13 a CIF-Southern Section Week 2 nonleague game on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2026.
Ortiz totaled single-game career-highs with 36 carries and 233 rushing yards with four touchdowns in the win for Hillcrest (3-0 overall), the reigning CIF-SS Division 10 champion.
Ortiz currently ranks third in CIFSS in rushing yards (597) and is second in attempts (77) and touchdowns (9).
