Rubidoux, under .500 for most of the last decade, has officially secured a winning record for the regular season and has its sights set on the playoffs.

We caught up with Green after Rubidoux’s 52-36 win over La Sierra.

InlandFieldhouse.com: You rushed for a career-high tonight. How you feeling?
Joshua Green: “Oh my! It feels good. My offensive line, they were on it today. Defensively, we did OK. We need to do better but, you know, when Monday comes we need to do it again and have a better week of practice to get us prepared.”

IF: What was the key to keeping (Shawn Childs) contained?
JG: “(Childs) is a dog. (Steven Moore) is a dog. Those were their main players and we knew we had to stop them to win the game.”

IF: You’ll have to face them again in Week 10. What do you think you learned tonight?
JG: “We learned that (Childs) is a strong runner (and) we have to tackle him low. We need to do that, and we need to have better coverage on (Ezra Gatica) and in deep coverage.”

IF: You play multiple positions, running back/linebacker/safety, but what is your favorite spot to play?
JG: “I like to run the ball but put me anywhere I’m just coachable. Just make a play wherever my coach has me.”
