1. Yucaipa (4-1) – Aside from a 7-0 loss to La Verne Damien on March 5, the Thunderbirds have had a strong start to the season. Junior P Cody Erautt (6-foot-3, 185 pounds) struck out five in a 12-2 victory over Covina on March 12.

2. Corona Centennial (4-1) – The Huskies’ only loss thus far is at Tustin (on March 5), and have outscored opponents 20-5 in their four other games. Senior INF William Ouellette (6-2, 190) went 2 for 4 with a double and five RBI in a 14-1 victory over Fullerton Sunny Hills on 3/9.

5. Corona Santiago (2-3) – The Sharks lost three consecutive to start the season but outscored opponents 26-9 in two victories since. Senior INF Steven Pallares (6-2, 185) went 4 for 5 with a double, a triple and five RBI in a 15-6 victory over Anaheim Esperanza on March 9.

6. Temecula Great Oak (3-1) – The Wolfpack have outscored opponents 24-7 thus far, and their only loss was by one run (3-2) at San Diego Torrey Pines on March 10. Senior SS Austin Bailey (5-11, 165) had three hits — including a home run — in a victory over San Diego Mt. Carmel on March 12.

Upland (6-0) – The Highlanders are off to a blistering start, posting three victories over Ontario Chaffey in the first two weeks, the last of which in a the championship game of the Upland HS Tournament. Senior INF Konner Butler (5-11, 160) had three 2Bs and three RBI in an 11-0 semifinal victory over Hesperia Sultana on March 10.

8. Norco (3-1) – The Cougars have had little trouble scoring runs thus far, posting a 47-15 differential to start the season. Coach Gary Parcell’s team scored eight runs in the final two innings to come from behind and defeat No. 9 Woodcrest Christian, 9-4, on March 9.

9. Woodcrest Christian (3-1) — The Royals have held their own at the prestigious Chino HS Tournament, defeating all but No. 8 Norco. Senior P Trevor Oaks (6-3, 205) struck out 12 in a victory over Fontana Miller on March 11.

10. Lake Elsinore Temescal Canyon (4-0) — The Titans won the Chino Don Lugo HS Tournament with four consecutive victories, including a four-run win over the hosts in the championship game on march 11. Sophomore P Chance Sisco (6-foot, 170) struck out eight to earn the victory.
