Inland Area Prep Football Top 10

1. Vista Murrieta (3-0) — The Broncos are back at No. 1 after rescuing victory from the jaws of defeat to stay unbeaten. Who will lead the comeback this week against Crespi?
LAST RANKED: No. 2. LAST WEEK: d. Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos 31-21 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Encino Crespi on FRIDAY. 

2. Corona Centennial (2-1) — Who knew Hayden Gavett could play?! In his 12th varsity season the kid with the moves is finally getting his shot. He was huge HUGE in Week 3.
LAST RANKED: No. 3. LAST WEEK: d. Temecula Chaparral 49-14 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Riverside Poly at Riverside Ramona HS on THURSDAY.

3. Elsinore (4-0) — The (Not-so)-Little Team That Could is rolling but plays perhaps its toughest non-league game this week. Then its a week off before the Tigers’ Sunbelt League opener.
LAST RANKED: No. 4. LAST WEEK: d. Temecula Valley 26-7 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: at Murrieta Valley on FRIDAY.

4. Moreno Valley Rancho Verde (3-0) — The Mustangs are unbeaten heading into play in the Inland Valley League. Another undefeated regular season is well within Coach Pete Duffy’s grasp.
LAST RANKED: No. 3. LAST WEEK: d. Menifee Heritage 35-21 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Moreno Valley on FRIDAY.

5. Redlands East Valley (3-0) — For all that they’ve accomplished so far, the Wildcats still have some big tests coming up. We’ll see Kurt Bruich and Co. have been studying.
LAST RANKED: No. 6. LAST WEEK: d. Los Angeles Dorsey 14-12 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: at Chino Hills on FRIDAY.

6. Rancho Cucamonga (4-0) — The Cougars have allowed just 19 points this season. That’s less than five points-per-game (actually it’s 4.75) for you match majors.
LAST RANKED: No. 7. LAST WEEK: d. Covina Charter Oak 21-13 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Redlands on FRIDAY.

7. Riverside North (3-0) — There isn’t a team another team in the Inland Area quite like the Huskies. having receivers 6-foot-3 or taller sort makes’em stand out.
LAST RANKED: No. 8. LAST WEEK: d. Fontana Kaiser 34-7 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: at Corona on FRIDAY.

8. Norco (2-1) — The Cougars were beaten with the ugly stick. Will they drag their dead heels in the dirt?
LAST RANKED: No. 1. LAST WEEK: lost 52-27 to Upland on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: at Eastvale Roosevelt on FRIDAY.

9. San Bernardino Cajon (3-0) — The Cowboys took a week off before what should be a clean run through the San Andreas League and a No. 1 playoff seed.
LAST RANKED: No. 9. LAST WEEK: Idle.
WEEK FOUR: at San Bernardino on FRIDAY.

10. Yucaipa (4-0) — The Thunderbirds make their return to the Top 10 on the legs on a kid with three names. Seriously, is Clayton Leach-Mead for real?
LAST RANKED: Not Ranked. LAST WEEK: d. San Bernardino San Gorgonio 42-31 on Sept. 23.
WEEK FOUR: at Beaumont on FRIDAY.

DROPPED OUT: Menifee Heritage (3-1).

JUST MISSED: Upland (4-0), Perris Citrus Hill (4-0), Fontana Summit (3-1).
