Inland Area Prep Football Top 10
1. Vista Murrieta (4-5) — The Broncos are Southwestern League champions for the third consecutive season despite getting saddled with all those forfeits. With so much unfortunate circumstance thrust upon this team one has to wonder… is this the year they finally win it all?
LAST RANKED: No. 1. LAST WEEK: d. Murrieta Valley 23-14 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: vs. Murrieta Mesa on THURSDAY.
2. Corona Centennial (8-1) — The Huskies look polished as the postseason approaches. The Big VIII League champions get what amounts to a bye heading into the first round.
LAST RANKED: No. 2. LAST WEEK: d. Eastvale Roosevelt 45-24 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: at Riverside King on THURSDAY.
3. Moreno Valley Rancho Verde (9-0) — The Mustangs posted their third shutout of the season (and second in three weeks), while also scoring more than 40 points for the fourth consecutive week. Safe to say, Coach Pete Duffy’s team is ready for the playoffs.
LAST RANKED: No. 3. LAST WEEK: d. MoVal Canyon Springs 42-0 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: vs. Riverside Arlington on THURSDAY.
4. Redlands East Valley (9-0) — The Wildcats put up some pretty intimidating numbers (49 points, 5 different scorers) heading into a Citrus Belt League championship game this week.
LAST RANKED: No. 4. LAST WEEK: d. Fontana 49-0 on Nov 4.
WEEK TEN: at No. 6 Yucaipa on THURSDAY.
5. Upland (9-0) — The Highlanders refuse to lose, scoring 35 points in the second half to blow away a likely playoff team. Despite their rank here, Coach Tim Salter’s team may be in line for a No. 1 overall seed in the Inland Division.
LAST RANKED: No. 5. LAST WEEK: d. Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos 49-21 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: vs. Rancho Cucamonga Alta Loma on THURSDAY.
6. Yucaipa (9-0) — The Thunderbirds soar into a CBL title tilt on the wings of senior QB Clayton Leach-Mead. That kid is flying right not.

WEEK TEN: vs. No. 3 Redlands East Valley on THURSDAY.
7. Riverside North (8-1) — The Huskies’ prolific offense sputtered until the second half before putting away one of the worst teams in the Inland Division. Is that the “check engine” indicator light flashing?
LAST RANKED: No. 6. LAST WEEK: d. Riverside King 35-14 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: at Norco on FRIDAY.
8. Rancho Cucamonga (8-1) — The Cougars, for all that senior QB Dimitri Morales provides, have begun to rely on junior RB Tyan Washington (5-foot-9, 160 pounds), who rushed for more than 100 yards for the sixth consecutive week.
LAST RANKED: No. 8. LAST WEEK: d. Glendora 34-14 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: vs. Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos on THURSDAY.
9. San Bernardino Cajon (8-1) — The Cowboys’ offense is clicking like it doesn’t even miss senior QB Edwin Gonzalez. It’s hard to tell if Coach Kim Battin’s team is that deep, or if it’s just clever deception.
LAST RANKED: No. 9. LAST WEEK: d. San Bernardino Arroyo Valley 46-6 on Nov. 4.
WEEK TEN: at Rialto Carter on THURSDAY.
10. Fontana Summit (8-1) — The SkyHawks re-enter to Inland Area Top 10 for the first time since Week 0. Senior do-everything Donte Deayon, the Inland Area’s all-time interception leader, should be considered a finalist for Player Of The Year.
LAST RANKED: Not Ranked. LAST WEEK: d. Jurupa Valley 56-7.
WEEK TEN: vs. Fontana Kaiser at Fontana Miller on FRIDAY.
DROPPED OUT: No. 10 Elsinore (7-2).
JUST MISSED: Perris Citrus Hill (9-0), Riverside La Sierra (8-1), Menifee Heritage (8-1).
