Inland Area Prep Baseball Top 10

1. Redlands (18-1) — The Terriers got a heck of a game from Fontana over the weekend, and needed to score twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to win, 6-5, on a muddy Saturday afternoon. Junior INF Roman Cross (6-foot-1, 220 pounds) had a two-run double in the victory.

2. Riverside North (16-3) — The Huskies got back into Big VIII League play with a 10-1 win over Corona Santiago on 4/12. Coach Stave Madril’s team has now won five of their last six games after beating San Juan Capistrano Hills tonight. Senior INF Gabrial Franca (5-foot-11, 160 pounds) went 3 for 4 with two triples in the win.

3. Redlands East Valley (12-5) — The Wildcats took care of business this afternoon at Fontana Miller. Senior SS Frank Alvarez (6-foot, 170 pounds) had a two-run double in an 8-2 victory. Attention now turns to their home date with No. 1 Redlands on Wednesday.

6. Rancho Cucamonga Alta Loma (12-3) — The Braves split a two-game series with Rancho Cucamonga last week, losing 3-1 on the road on 4/10 before winning 3-1 at home on 4/12. Senior LHP Bryan Conant (6-foot-4, 205 pounds) struck out eight in hurling a six-hitter to get the victory.
