…is Player Of The Week after his Thursday Night Thrashing of Rubidoux on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, as Banning went on the road and won, 49-42, in Jurupa Valley. Hairston, the Broncos’ senior QB, rushed for 327 yards and three touchdowns to add to what has already been a hair-raising season.

Hairston (5-foot-11, 180 pounds) has rushed for an Inland Area-leading 1,804 yards and 25 TDs through seven games, and is on pace for more than 2,500 yards and 35 TDs could even reach 3,000 yards and 45 TDs should the Broncos make a deep playoff run. Unthinkable? Just look at the numbers.

He ran for 140 yards and three TDs in the season opener vs. Hemet and followed it up in Week 1 with 398 yards and six TDs vs. Cathedral City. After a Week 2 bye, Hairston ran for 326 yards and four TDs vs. Beaumont in Week 3, 173 yards and three TDs vs. Indio Shadow Hills in Week 4, 174 yards and three TDs vs. Thermal Coachella Valley in Week 5, and 246 yards and three TDs vs. Fontana Jurupa Hills in Week 6. He’s averaging 257.7 yards and 3.57 TDs per game.

He’s led the Broncos to four consecutive victories, a 6-1 overall record and into control of the Mountain Valley League. And if he finishes the season as he’s started, he could be on the list of the Area’s best ever.
