Moving from the the CIF-Southern Section East Valley Division to the Northwest Division will have negligible importance to all but those in the Ambassador League, the most parochial collection of schools in the Inland Area.

Upland Western Christian (12-1) is the defending league champ, and return a 2,000-yard rusher. Hard to argue with that math. Sarkis Panossian totaled 2,027 and 23 TDs last year, so all Coach Kevin Oberlander has to do is refurbish a passing game and the Golden Lancers are in business.

Redlands Arrowhead Christian (7-4) lost in a shootout, 55-41, to eventual CIF champ Fontana Jurupa Hills in the first round of last year’s playoffs. The Eagles could be a dark-horse favorite this year if QB Bradley Mowbray plays any where near his potential.

Temecula Linfield Christian (6-5) reached the playoffs but suffered a one-point loss to Lake Arrowhead Rim of the World, 38-37, in the first round. Plenty of skill position players look to return for Coach DeChon Burns and the Lions.

Riverside Notre Dame (4-6) moves into the Ambassador League from the Mountain Valley League, where it failed to reach the playoffs in four seasons. Coach Derrick Johnson is the real deal; An alum with NFL experience. How fast can the Titans rise?

San Bernardino Aquinas (4-6) struggled do to much of anything on offense last season — averaging less than 250 yards per game — but Coach Chris Ibarra always has a team willing to put in the fight and should again battle for a playoff spot this season.

Ontario Christian (6-5) was a playoff team last season but will have to replace huge portions of it offense this season. QB Christian Reyes saw 11 games, passing for 1,400 and 10 TDs, but will have to produce far more.
