1. Corona Centennial (12-2) — Huskies shoved it in the face of every hater who said they didn’t belong in the PAC-5. And there were a lot of them.

2. Redlands East Valley (13-1) — Wildcats pushed the limits of body and team in their run to a first CIF-SS title. Now injured sophomore QB Armando Herrera may turn lightning rod.
THIS SEASON: 13-1 overall, 7-0 Citrus Belt League.
LAST SEASON: 5-6 overall, 4-1 Citrus Belt. 2012: 5-5, 4-1.
LAST RANKED: No. 2.
LAST GAME: def. No. 4 Riverside Poly 36-31 in the CIF-SS Inland Division Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 5.
WEEK FIFTEEN: vs. Bakersfield Ridgeview in the CIF-State Division 2 Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 13.

3. Vista Murrieta (11-3) — Broncos came out flat and never got much traction as Coach Coley Candaele dropped his third consecutive CIF-SS title game.
THIS SEASON: 11-2 overall, 5-0 Southwestern League.
LAST SEASON: 12-2 overall, 5-0 Southwestern. 2012: 13-1, 5-0.
LAST RANKED: No. 5.
LAST GAME: lost, 21-10, to Mission Viejo in the CIF-SS West Valley Division Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 6.

4. Riverside Poly (13-1) — Bears rode senior RB Devontre Hale and his hobbled ankle just as far as they could; A once-in-every-30-years kind of season.
THIS SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Inland Valley.
LAST SEASON: 9-3 overall, 5-1 Inland Valley. 2012: 4-6, 3-3.
LAST RANKED: No. 4.
LAST GAME: lost, 36-31, to No. 2 Redlands East Valley in the CIF-SS Inland Division Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 5.

5. Upland (10-3) — The ‘U’ had a lot of promising transfer talent but still failed to advance to a championship game.
THIS SEASON: 10-3 overall, 5-0 Baseline League.
LAST SEASON: 9-4 overall, 4-1 Baseline. 2012: 12-1, 5-0.
LAST RANKED: No. 2.
LAST GAME: lost, 24-14, to No. 3 Vista Murrieta in a CIF-SS West Valley Division Semifinal Round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 28.

6. Menifee Heritage (12-1) — Patriots’ defense of a CIF-SS title was admirable. Their profound running game remains first-class.
THIS SEASON: 12-1 overall, 5-0 Sunbelt League.
LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Sunbelt. 2012: 11-2, 5-0.
LAST RANKED: No. 3.

7. Perris Citrus Hill (11-2) — Hawks’ may or may not take solace in having lost to the eventual CIF-SS champion.
THIS SEASON: 11-2 overall, 5-0 Mountain Pass League.
LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Mountain Pass. 2012: 14-0, 5-0.
LAST RANKED: No. 6.
LAST GAME: lost, 34-31, to No. 2 Redlands East Valley in a CIF-SS Inland Division Semifinal Round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 28.

8. Palm Springs (12-2) — Indians indeed had the spirits with them as challenging playoff run produced the program’s fourth CIF-SS title-game appearance in 10 years.
THIS SEASON: 12-2 overall, 5-1 Desert Valley League.
LAST SEASON: 7-4 overall, 3-2 Desert Valley. 2012: 7-3-1, 4-1.
LAST RANKED: No. 10.
LAST GAME: def. Phelan Serrano 24-21 in the CIF-SS Eastern Division Championship Game on Friday, Dec. 5.
WEEK FIFTEEN: Season complete.

9. Ontario Colony (11-3) — Titans don’t get a lot of notice — runner-up status doesn’t help — but it’s another fine season.
THIS SEASON: 11-3 overall, 5-0 Mt. Baldy League.
LAST SEASON: 9-4 overall, 3-2 Mt. Baldy. 2012: 7-5, 3-2.
LAST RANKED: No. 8.
LAST GAME: lost, 35-7, to Hacienda Heights Los Altos in the CIF-SS Central Division Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 6.

10. Temecula Great Oak (10-3) — Wolfpack jump back into Top 10 after their meat-and-potatoes approach produced a full season.
THIS SEASON: 10-3 overall, 4-1 Southwestern League.
LAST SEASON: 6-5 overall, 3-2 Southwestern. 2012: 5-6, 2-3.
LAST RANKED: Not Ranked.
LAST GAME: lost, 41-36, to Mission Viejo in a CIF-SS West Valley Division Semfinal Round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 28.

DROPPED OUT: Phelan Serrano (12-2).
