IndyCar Returns To Inland Area
Its off-and-on relationship in the rear-view mirror, IndyCar is back at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana this week, culminating in the MAVTV 400 this Saturday.
I’ve seen numerous permutations of open-wheel racing at the two-mile oval since its beginnings, first with IndyCar, then CART, and now back to IndyCar.
I was there in 2013 when Will Power won, and I’ll be back again this year.
To commemorate, I’m blogging every day about motor racing in the Inland Area.
I’ll list my favorite Four & More Inland Area Race Tracks on Tuesday, profile Bob Patison of MAVTV on Wednesday, host a Q&A with a legendary motorsports writer Louis Brewster on Thursday, and then cover qualifying Friday and the race on Saturday.
In the meantime, here’s a few links to some of my previous Inland Area motor sports coverage:
— 2015 AMA Motocross Nationals at Glen Helen Raceway Park.
— 2015 NASCAR Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway.
— 2012 USAC Sprint Car Oval Nationals at Perris Auto Speedway.
So I welcome you to follow along over the next several days as I cover the speedway’s last big race weekend of the year.
