2. Redlands East Valley — Wildcats had their program-defining season. Is it out of the question to ask if QB Armando Herrera will show any ill-effects from his injury-riddled playoffs?

3. Vista Murrieta — Broncos’ track and football teams are intertwined at their cores, and both are immensely successful every season.

4. Upland — The Scots’ running game is intact so long as Nathan Tilford’s in the backfield, but a high-powered passing offense might be a year away.
