Ken Scott Out As Riv. King Baseball Coach

Ken Scott, a baseball coach at Riverside King since its opening in 1999, has been released from his coaching duties.

According to sources, the decision was made this week. Scott said via email that he did not see it coming.

“I was not expecting to be released,” wrote Scott, who amassed a 153-123 record in 11 varsity seasons.

The Wolves went 17-12 overall this season — their most wins in five seasons — but failed to make the playoffs for the third consecutive year after finishing fourth in the Big VIII League with an 8-7 record.

King athletic director Dennis Brown has yet to return a call seeking comment.
