San Bernardino senior QB Jayden Daniels has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after his Week 2 performance in a 57-28 victory over Murrieta Valley in a non-league game on Friday, Aug. 31, 2018.
Daniels completed 21 of 33 pass attempts for 341 yards and five touchdowns and also rushed for 159 yards and another score as the Cowboys (3-0 overall) made a big-time statement in their bid to repeat as CIF-Southern Section champions.
The 6-foot-3, 183-pound dual-threat quarterback is already on fire to start the season, completing more than 66 percent of his passes for 800-plus yards and 13 TDs through three games.
Daniels, who totaled 62 passing TDs and more than 5,000 yards as a junior, was 31 of 38 for 567 passing yards and six TDs in a 49-46 loss to Murrieta Valley last season.
