Redlands Citrus Valley junior QB Dylan Wheatley has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after his accurate Week 2 performance in a 42-0 shutout victory over Ontario Colony in a nonleague game on Friday, Sept. 6, 2019.

Wheatley passed for 179 yards and six touchdowns as the Blackhawks (2-0 overall) continued to play shutout football this season, outscoring opponents by an almost overwhelming 77-to-0 thus far.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback completed 10 of 17 pass attempts – including a 74-yard touchdown connection with teammate Ty Belton – as the first-year starter further solidified his hold on the Blackhawks’ starting quarterback spot with a solid performance for the second consecutive week.

Wheatley, who completed 12 of 22 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns in Week 1, currently has a 122.4 passer rating.
