A.J. Duffy, MoVal Rancho Verde…

MoVal Rancho Verde sophomore QB A.J. Duffy has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after his outstanding Week 5 performance in a 63-35 victory over Norco in a nonleague game on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019.

DUFFY

Duffy completed 22 of 30 pass attempts for 317 yards and three TDs as the Mustangs (4-1 overall) shocked just about every Inland Area prep football observer with a victory over No. 2-ranked Norco.

The 6-foot-1, 197-pound quarterback is one of the most sought-after sophomores in the country by college recruiters. He picked apart Norco’s talented defensive backs with delightful accuracy, as his season completion percentage continues to hover around 75 percent.

Currently, Duffy has thrown for 12 TDs and more than 1,200 yards through the first five games. He also continues to run the ball effectively, and had a 29-yard gain and his third rushing TD of the season in the win.

ALSO CONSIDERED:
RB Eddie Allain (Norte Vista) – 18-150 rush, 2 TDs
QB Brandon Rose (Murrieta Valley) – 13-17-0-285 pass, 6 TDs
RB Phillip Smith (Rim of the World) – 25-305 rush, 6 TDs
