Redlands Citrus Valley senior QB Dylan Wheatley has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after a dominant Week 1-A performance in a 53-7 victory over Redlands East Valley in a Citrus Belt League game on Saturday, March 20, 2021.
Wheatley was 16 of 27 passing for seven TDs as the Blackhawks (1-0 overall, 1-0 CBL) defeated its cross-town rival in this most unusual Spring Season return to football.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound quarterback had a masterful junior season and was last seen passing for more than 400 yards and six TDs in the CIF-Southern Section playoffs in 2019.
Now considered one of the top Inland Area recruits in his class, Wheatley is patiently waiting to receive his first NCAA Division I scholarship offer.
