Ki’yel Shyne, Kaiser…
Kaiser senior Ki’yel Shyne has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after running wild as the Cats defeated Los Osos, 50-49, in a CIF-Southern Section Division 9 quarterfinal round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 10, 2023.
Shyne had 25 carries for a season-high 321 yards and two touchdowns and scored the game-winning two-point PAT with less than 1 minute remaining as the Cats (9-3 overall) totaled nearly 500 yards on the ground in advancing to the semifinals.
The 6-foot, 185-pound running back led the San Andreas League in rushing yards and has gained more than 1,700 yards this season.
