Orange Vista senior Sire Gaines has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after a powerful performance as the Coyotes defeated Western, 63-46, in a CIF-Southern Section Division 5 semifinal round playoff game on Friday, Nov. 17, 2023.
Gaines Shyne had 18 carries for a season-high 230 yards and five touchdowns as the Coyotes (10-3 overall) won a shootout that featured more than 1,000 total yards from both teams.
The 6-foot-1, 198-pound running back had a career-high 81-yard touchdown run and has totaled a career-high 21 touchdowns this season.
