Chaparral sophomore Dane Weber has been selected InlandFieldhouse.com’s Player of the Week after a dual-threat performance as the Pumas beat Apple Valley, 49-28, in a CIF-Southern Section Week 1 nonleague game on Friday, Aug. 30, 2024.

Weber completed 26 of 25 pass attempts for 362 yards and six touchdowns, and added 14 carries for 102 yards and another scored for the Pumas (2-0 overall), who have re-loaded on offense after the departure of Dash Beierly.

The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Weber is playing his first varsity season.
