BASEBALL 2012

1. Gabriel Clark, Riverside North — Statistics are unavailable for Clark (6-foot-2, 190 pounds), but if they were they’d certainly be quite impressive for the cleanup hitter on the reigning champs.

2. John Davis, Woodcrest Christian — Name a category and this 5-foot-8, 175-pound senior led the Royals in it. He hit .608 with six HR and 33 RBI, and also went 6-1 with 68 Ks in 51 IP.

3. Angel Landazuri, Redlands — This 5-foot-11, 170-pound junior is 8-1 with 0.61 ERA with two saves in 14 appearance for Terriers, one of the top teams in the Inland Area all season.

4. Taylor Wetzel, Apple Valley Granite Hills — The most feared hitter in the High Desert, Wetzel (6-foot-3, 195 pounds) hit .460 with 35 RBI and 39 runs scored for the Cougars.

AND MORE: Matt Herring, Elsinore — Catalyst for for best season in school history, this 6-foot-2, 188-pound senior is batting .500 (45 for 90) with 16 XBHs, 33 RBI and 36 runs for Tigers.

…………………..Justin Garza, La Verne Bonita — Cal State Fullerton-bound senior was 9-1 with 0.65 ERA with 74 Ks in 65 IP. Also played shortstop and hit .398 and scored 24 runs for Bearcats.
