6. Rancho Cucamonga (25-27) — Quakes took 2 of 3 from Modesto, outscoring Nuts 18-10 in series

7. Modesto (25-27) — Nuts had 2-and-4 roady, return home to play South-leading High Desert

8. Lancaster (25-27) — JetHawks took it on the chin from Storm & have lst 6 of 8 overall

9. Inland Empire (22-24) — Sixers are on 5 for 15 swoon that’s landed them last in South

10. Stockton (18-33) — Ports have won 5 of their last 7, may yet climb from cellar
