Prep Preview: Inland Empire All-Star Game

I’m covering the Inland Empire Baseball Coaches’ Association All-Star Game at San Manuel Stadium in San Bernardino (Ca.) tonight for The Press-Enterprise. The best part of this assignment? Easy. Watching some of the best baseball players from the Class of 2012.


THE LOW DOWN:
Both teams are brimming with talent. Some of these players are looking at immediate professional careers, while others are ready to settle into lengthy collegiate stints. Either way, tonight is about celebrating terrific prep careers in one of the region’s best baseball facilities.

THE DIFFERENCE:
Really, there isn’t much of a difference outside maybe maybe pitching, where the Riverside County side will feature a few more power arms and one or two more power bats.
PREDICTION: Riverside 9, San Bernardino 7.
