Inland Area Prep Football Top 10

THROUGH WEEK THREE

1. Vista Murrieta (3-0) — Broncos dominated Redlands East Valley in Week 3 and it could have been a lot worse. RB Tito Feliciano (Sr., 5-6, 180) ran for 200 yards and three TDs as the team rushed for nearly 500 yards in another lop-sided victory.
THIS SEASON: 3-0 overall, 0-0 Southwestern League. LAST SEASON: 13-1 overall, 5-0 Southwestern League.
LAST RANKED: No. 2.

WEEK FOUR: at San Diego Cathedral Catholic on FRIDAY.

2. Corona Centennial (2-2) — Huskies have lost two consecutive games for the first time in a decade, and all of a sudden there are questions being asked like, ‘What happened to all winning?’ and ‘Where will Matt Logan want to coach next?’
THIS SEASON: 2-2 overall, 0-0 Big VIII League. LAST SEASON: 14-2 overall, 6-0 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 1.
LAST GAME: lost, 45-28, to Mission Hills Alemany in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Carson on FRIDAY.

3. Rancho Cucamonga (4-0) — It’s remarkable what the Cougars have accomplished against the Inland Area’s toughest non-league schedule in 2014. All that’s left is a showdown with No. 5 Upland in Week 10, right?
THIS SEASON: 4-0 overall, 0-0 Baseline League. LAST SEASON: 10-3 overall, 4-1 Baseline League.
LAST RANKED: No. 7.
LAST WEEK: def. No. 8. Murrieta Valley 34-19 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Riverside North at Rancho Cucamonga Los Osos HS on FRIDAY.

4. Perris Citrus Hill (4-0) — We thought the Hawks might make it ugly vs. Riverside North but what makes it even uglier is their per carry average (10.3) and seven rushing TDs. RB P.J. Walker (Sr., 5-10, 195) had 171 yards and five of those scores.
THIS SEASON: 4-0 overall, 0-0 Mountain Pass League. LAST SEASON: 14-0 overall, 5-0 Mountain Pass League.
LAST RANKED: No. 3.
LAST GAME: def. Riverside North 69-6 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.
WEEK FOUR: at Riverside King on FRIDAY.

5. Upland (2-2) — Tim Salter’s team has scored almost 100 points in its last two games and looks to have its offense clicking now that interesting non-league test — and potential shootout — looms in Week 4.
THIS SEASON: 2-2 overall, 0-0 Baseline League. LAST SEASON: 12-1 overall, 5-0 Baseline League.
LAST RANKED: No. 5.
LAST GAME: def. Victorville Silverado 55-21 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.
WEEK FOUR: at No. 7 Corona Santiago on FRIDAY.

6. Menifee Heritage (3-1) — Went on the road for a second consecutive week and lost in a shootout with Temecula Great Oak — for the second consecutive season. The Patriots were favored in both games, too.
THIS SEASON: 3-1 overall, 0-0 Sunbelt League. LAST SEASON: 11-2 overall, 5-0 Sunbelt League.
LAST RANKED: No. 4.
LAST GAME: lost, 43-40, to Temecula Great Oak in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.

7. Corona Santiago (2-2) — Sharks QB Blake Barnett (Jr., 6-4, 215) was named FOMB’s Inland Area Player of the Week after accounting for six TDs and more than 375 yards in a blowout victory in Week 3.
THIS SEASON: 2-2 overall, 0-0 Big VIII League. LAST SEASON: 6-5 overall, 4-1 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 9.
LAST GAME: def. Santa Fe Springs Santa Fe 56-7 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.
WEEK FOUR: vs. No. 5 Upland on FRIDAY.

8. Murrieta Valley (3-1) — Back-to-back four-quarter battles proved more than the young Nighthawks, as they lost to No. 5 Rancho Cucamonga a week after beat No. 9. Roosevelt in Week 2.
THIS SEASON: 3-0 overall, 0-0 Southwestern League. LAST SEASON: 10-2 overall, 4-1 Southwestern League.
LAST RANKED: No. 8.
LAST GAME: lost, 34-19, to No. 6 Rancho Cucamonga in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.
WEEK FOUR: vs. Elsinore on FRIDAY.

9. Eastvale Roosevelt (3-1) — Mustangs scored two TDs in less than one minute to get past Etiwanda and get back on track after losing to No. 8 Murrieta Valley in Week 2.
THIS SEASON: 3-1 overall, 0-0 Big VIII League. LAST SEASON: 3-7 overall, 2-3 Big VIII League.
LAST RANKED: No. 10.
LAST GAME: def. Rancho Cucamonga Etiwanda 27-14 in a non-league game on Friday, Sept. 20.

10. San Bernardino San Gorgonio (4-0) — Spartans enter FOMB’s Inland Area Prep Football Top 10 for the first time ever on the heels of a dramatic one-point victory over Yucaipa.
THIS SEASON: 4-0 overall, 0-0 San Andreas League. LAST SEASON: 8-3 overall, 4-1 San Andreas League.
LAST RANKED: Not Ranked.

DROPPED OUT: Rialto Carter (2-1).
